Hi Gazo.

I tried to use update CD on my Alfa 166.

No text on display during CD reading, no "TMC error", no reboot request, 5.57 IDIS sw version is the same as yesterday. On the other hand, new 2010-2011 CD is correctly running.

Any comment/suggestion from you?

My comment is that this may just be normal when you were using the 2009-2010 version previously

i need maps for my siemens gps. its for ics 166 Alfa Romeo. the unit is a g3 and the version ics it´s V 5.30.
i see the post but the maps but any map don´t work.
can help me

Hi, new to this forum so 1st of all congrats for ur great work. I recently bought an used Alfa 166 with integrated GPS (G3) and was searching for an update in the maps (came with 2002 version). I read about this upgrade and was a bit reluctant to try, knowing that the ICS system is a bit of a pain in the *** when it comes to mess around with it. But finally I gathered myself and gave it a try. The update really worked as a charm, and the maps read without a problem. Took 15-20 min to complete and showed a progress bar on the screen for both ICS and phone modules (phone upgrade to ver. 5.60 took most of that time).

I really appreciate your effort and work in this forum, and wanted to thank you for it. Now I only need to find if that update in the phone module enables it to read Dual GSM cards, wich originally it can't, preventing me to use it. If I can find it out, I'll drop a line to let you know.
