Funny, i'm just downloading latest map with Sygic Downloader 1.9 and as i see latest maps are 2013.01.
What i'm missing?

... "smiling".... the downloads from sygic downloader are old maps named as 2013.01, but in fact those maps are from 2010 and 2011

Today Sunday afternoon I will upload the new maps version 2012.09

You have to install the sygic v.12.2.0 trial to download data-content.
Then use those download to maps you see around and copy it to your sygic/map folder
Rename your "sygic" folder to "sygic_1"
Uninstall Sygic v.12.2.0 trial
Install then Sygic v.12.2.0 full
Don't run yet, rename the folder "sygic_1" back to "sygic"
Then run your sygic, and just drive carefull

I got locked out by Sygic. It doesn't work now. It was working since I installed it 3 days ago and now it's not working. There must be a hidden file that preventing me from reinstalling. What I did this morning was to tick "Allow automatic updating" in Google Play and thereafter it is asking for registration.

Uninstalled and deleted all files with "sygic" but still no luck.

@curiou5: similar thing happened to me. i installed a new android and had to make a new google account before i could get 12.2 working.
i have a multi boot htc hd2 so not really a problem but otherwise just try a new google account first.
youve probably guessed by now, but you dont want to auto-update "try-ware" programs

i think i have some combination of old and new maps in 2013.01 folders.
is there any way to tell which version is which, is there some text or bytes in the files that i can check?

How to install:
1. Install Sygic 12.2.0 - trial
2. Start the application and downloads resources, etc.
3. Using a file explorer rename folder Sygic to Sygic_1
4. Uninstall Sygic 12.2.0 - trial.
5. Install Sygic 12.2.0 - full
6. Change folder name Sygic_1 back to Sygic.
7. Start Sygic application.
