Are these actually the same cd's as the VDO navteq's?

Because coverage and the countries on the cd's are the same

Yes, Are modify Navteq CDs, Teleatlas (Audi original parts) have only 8 CDs, East Europe is not included

See here under MMI2G Basic (Not updated yet, still have 2012/2012 version)

Is a language CD, will not update the MMI firmware,
have to go in setup than select menu language function, select the language you want and the MMI will ask you to insert Languge CD.

So does this cd not have maps in it? is it only to change language?

Yes, its only for language, other CDs are with map Update

How to burn this CD to make it work?
Burned with IMGburn (slow, tried various speeds), Pioneer 111D and Traxdata CD-R, but no way to make it work...
It works in neighbours car, A6 '05 but not in mine A3 '08 with the same navigation unit, basic with non color (red) display.
I have also tried in friends TT '08 but it doesn't work.

A3 use a different navigation, named BNS 5.0. This maps are not good for your navigation.

Hi guys, Do I need a specific CD burner to burn MMI Basic Plus CD's? I just ordered a stack of Verbatim CD-R 700 MB CD's. Will this work out in combination with my Lite On IHAS 124 burner?
