I think Gazo is (always) right. We need to lose some precious time learning how to burn protected media. Reading the txt posted in the beginning of this thread, you'll see that your burner is listed, so, all you need is to try with clone cd 5.3.0.1, teleatlas profile (amplify weak sectors, maximum 4x) choose good media (Sony Cd-r, Tdk, always media -R), and in the beginning of the burning process the safedisc protection will give a total of 34 weaks sectors processed, and most importat ashure that your laser is in good shape!

With this you can find out how many corrupt Sectors are in the Image, normal 264-265, FRANCE 64 !!!

We have had major problems last year when various copies of France 2009/2010 were uploaded
In the end the copy that is published here works flawlessly although the writer and the blank media are critical.

First of all I'd like to say thank you for the information and resources in this thread. Secondly I'm after a little clarification:

I've downloaded the CloneCD application and profile that is in the first post. It's version 4.2.0.2. Is this the correct version to write the DX 2009/2010 images? I only ask as some people here have mentioned about using a later version, clone cd 5.3.0.1.

I've tried burning to Taiyo Yuden discs as well as Verbatum and have got about 8 unsucessfull attempts so far. I'm using the safedisc list here to try recorders and have bought 4 different models so far:

My latest drive is a LiteOn SOHR - 5238S which is on the list.

The one thing I haven't done is re-download the disc images linked to in the first post. I had already downloaded the original ones last year from the previous forum. Should I re-download these ones again? I guess I'm asking if these images are different, or are they the same ones?

If your attempt have failed it is only because of the writer.
The ClonCD version is no probleme and neither is the image

Thanks for the reply. That's very interesting. I've tried 4 burners so far. The first 2 weren't on that list because they're very hard to find. The other two are definitely on the list though: AOpen CRW5232 and LiteOn SOHR - 5238S. I wonder why this isn't working? I guess I could try and find one more burner to try, but otherwise it's probably time to give up (any one of them that's a sure recommendation?). Has anyone had issues with TY or Verbatum media at all perhaps? Maybe that's the issue..?

Newbie on here!!! Had a read of other threads associated with this. Just to get it clear in my mind i have burnt the UK maps and loaded to my car. It loads in the program fine but when it goes to initiate it says there is no navi disc. Is this a normal problem?? Used Clone CD (v5.3.1.4). Burner is not on the list, i take it all the burners on the list are old ones???

Answered My own questions on this one, found an old burner in the garage (Samsung SW252) Used Clone CD (v5.3.1.0), Burnt at 1X and hey presto all is good!!!!

what media did you use? I've tried 4 burners and got nowhere. I've just bought another 2 so will try them at the weekend! Did you download the images from this thread? The only thing I didn't do yet is try a newer CloneCD version.

There are examples of people that have tried about 100 times and still not succeeded in writing a working copy
