Does anyone know if the FX maps for my RNS310 show motorway lane guidance similar to ALG on my TomTom 730. I don't live near a motorway to try it, but I am planning a trip which does.

Nope, it doesn't!
You would have to own the RNS510 for that (or the Skoda/Seat/Audi equivalent..)
It will show a fork in the road, or the exit as the highlighted road to follow, but no lane guidance!

Been running a comparison between my TomTom 730 and the RNS310, same map by Tele Atlas, result = NO MATCH, the TomTom wins every time.

V3 database is Teleatlas 03/2010, is normal that if you use a tomtom with the last maps will find NO Match, cant compare 2 diferent database, even new V4 has not the same database with last TomTom maps that are q4/2011

I believe this is true and I just can't understand those politics for car gps systems which costs almost twenty times more than regular cheap native pna devices (garmin,iGO..) which on the other side has latest map support from both global map providers (TT and Navteq). Ironic!

Is not the same thing updating from a server and creating and selling CD/DVDs is normal that cost more, anyway the price for a single CD is really high, tomtom map update single country about 30/40euro a good price for CD must be al least 100, 149euro is too much
