nice collection, finally some of them in ccd / mode2f1
My friend has updated his BMW High system to the newer version V32, but now his navigation system freezes and/or is working very slow... what is the best thing to do? any idea's?
well i assume he updated with a heavily modified version (night mode ,changed logo etc) which is reportedly a source of instability. if it is the case i suggest to downgrade to any prior version lower than V31 and then reupgrade with an unmodded version of v31 or v32 (v31 is the same as v32 for mk1 - mk4, the v32 disc contains new soft only for the short living M$ based junk). if he used an unmodified v32 (which i dobut) then simply downgrade to any prior version. by the way factory versions told to be rock solid on flawless hardware. though you need to know a limitation: only the v31 software makes the drive capable of reading dual layer dvds, however it is easy the size down a dual layer disc to a single layer dvd5 by dropping unnecessary crap (eg tpd folders for other languages)

can somebody help me .. I just purchased a 2004 645Ci .. i'm not sure which version it has, but I do know it does need an update as it will not play mp3 cd's ..
is there any update I can do myself ? the dealer wants quite an expensive amount (i am living in Dubai)
Even after an update it will never play MP3
The necessary hardware to accomplish this task is not in the unit
But if you download the image from the first post you can do it yourself
Please note that you will only know for sure if you burned a crap copy after you bricked your unit
Most units will never go again after an attempt to update with a poor copy!

I'm using a Mk IV updated with v32 and creating coasters! I'm copying iso images to good quality dual layer dvds but the Mk IV will not recognise / read them.
