I'm confused. Sorry new at all this. Are the two files from RS identical? I extracted them both into separate folders and the contents look identical. Do I just pick one and burn that onto the CD?

There are not identical but complementary. You should start extracting from part 1 only and the contents of other parts is added automatically
I'm afraid all this has been explained quite a few times even in the recent past

You start Imgburn, write image to CD. and open the ISO in the file menu. Select burner and speed and GO

These maps are over 2 years old now. They are the first maps to include the Eastlink freeway in Melbourne. They are missing a lot of changes that have occured in Brisbane. So good if you are travelling in Melbourne, not so good if you are travelling in Brisbane.
