    I'm not an expert on the moov...I'd set the gpstmc.ini to (below) and see what happens - my best guess
    Port = 2
    BaudRate = 57600
    Protocol = 1
    I will try this, thank you.
    The miomop.ini (which is for the mio map application) sais:

    [GPS]
    Found=vsp1:,57600,8N1,none

    Does this ring any bell?

    finally the problem solved by choosing protocol 1, instead for 2. eventhough mio uses SIRF it needs NMEA to run Destinator.

    thank you for your help

    I managed to get this to work.....it wasn't easy.
    It is very like the Destinator 8 MLS version I have had for quite some time and exhibits the same problems.
    Select a route and a voice will inform you of your destination, but then silence...no voice directions.
    Also if you press the demo route you will get locked into somewhere else (in my case London) and getting back to your actual position on the map is very difficult and the program just constantly recalculates and goes nowhere. You have to put a new route in to get it out of its cycle.

    On the MLS version I used a different dest.core I believe and even got TTS to work
    I can't remember how I did it but I will investigate.

    The speed camera problem is what lets Destinator 8 and 9 down, there is no provision to import and activate them.

    I have sorted the TTS out and the no voice directions problem.
    It was the svoxdll.dll in this version that was at fault.
    I swapped it with the one from my Destinator 9 and bingo.

    If you put a route in and then tap the arrow at the bottom left of the screen, then you should hear you next voice instruction.
    if you don't hear anything, the voice directions are not working.
    If your TTS is working the voice will tell you what road you are turning onto.

    TTS on any destinator version is dependant on map/lang files. If you are using UK maps, you should be using English UK voices/langs. The TTS should work(and does US) as set up.
    To exit route, tap the top display bar to activate route menu. Select cancel route if you are having problems.
    "SafetyCams" are available for many EU, SA versions of D8/D9 (This version is from Motonav TN30 and does not include TMC/SafetyCams) The developers starting with D8 have decided to encrypt safetycam databases and make them unavailable for edit. Check SCDB...I've worked on several versions with TMC and SafetyCams....(see earlier post from AlexPPC) you are correct, You have to find the right descore.dll from a version that has this feature available as each version is custom made for a specific device. But even if you do...all you get is what they will give you for cam data, right or wrong (real dealbreaker if you want Cams).

    Thanks a lot for that joking 742. I am aware about the camera issue....I have seen versions of Destinator 9 with camera icons in the menu.
    I have Destinator 6 and 7 and both of those will allow full camera voice warnings of your choice including camera type and speed limit.
    Too many GPS manufacturers are trying to sell speed cameras as an add-on, Route 66 is one such case and as such you can't put your own in.
    I hope the trend does not continue....but I fear it will.

    Thumbs up Re: Destinator 8.0.21.275 + Extras

    [QUOTE=joking742;1025]Destinator 8.0.21.275 + Extras
    Requirements: CE 4.2, 5.0 pna, works with standard Destinator Maps

    (Destinator 8.0.21.275+Carbon2 skin+Coreplayer)

    Hi thanks for the links, all working well on a Shinco 350, except for one thing. When I type in an address and press the go button, I get a fatal error and everything locks up.

    Any ideas??
