LG LN500

Hey ppl ,
Im having trouble with a LG LN500 device , when i connect it to computer the "Connection not valid" window pops-up in the device screen.
Says :
"Cannot start comunication with the desktop computer. unable to open the conection "Direct". This connection is not valid or does not exsist"
Tried on Xp/Vista with a load of drivers and tricks but none succeded.
And i dont have the CD that comes with the device.

Any suggestions would be awesome. Im kinda stuck.

I see this is an old post but I'll give it a try.
I have a LG LN515 which I think is the same device as the LN500. Maybe different Maps.(Correct me if I'm wrong)
The device came with 3 CD's with the Destinator Console program and the maps of western Europe.
Original Destinator 6 with maps of 2006 Q1 is installed on a 2GB SD-card.
On a Windows-7 PC you have to use Windows Mobile Active Sync to communicate with the device.
Furthermore I succeeded to install (on a 2GB SD-card) the Destinator program Version 9.1.21.7 for WinCE PNA with the maps of Western Europe 2009 Q4 without changing anything on the LG LN515's operating system.
How to:
0- Destinator program + maps to be found on the Destinator System forum.
1- Create on a 2GB SD-card a folder called: LGE
2- Copy the Destinator directory in the folder LGE
3- Rename the folder \LGE\Destinator into: \LGE\LGENavi
4- Rename in the folder \LGE\LGENavi the file Destinator.exe into LGENavi.exe
(That's because when you press the NAVI button on your device a call is made to \LGE\LGENavi\LGENavi.exe)
5- Put all the maps in the folder \LGE\LGENavi
6- Change (with f.i. Notepad) in the folder \LGE\LGENavi\UserData the settings in the file GPSTMC.ini the Port / Baudrate / Protocol settings to resp 2 / 9600 / 2
(Now the Destinator program will see the build-in GPS receiver)
That's all.
The only thing I miss is a file for the Benelux map called: RURAL.DAT
Maybe someone can give me a clue where to find it.

Now I'm looking for Dutch voices because the only voice in Destinator 9 (from this forum) is an english voice with a very bad pronunciation of Dutch streetnames . . . ;-)
Who knows where to find it.
