I believe not all chinese products are produced the same way and at the same location, some can be good too!

I'm from Down Under and have special unit for Ford Focus made in China and bought from Germany in here:

It's very good quality, has nice HD screen (800x480), MP3/MP4, DVD, USB (play music from usb drive), iPod connection, Bluetooth and GPS - Win CE5.
And the best thing, if you are from other country than Germany you don't pay 19% VAT/Tax.

Fitted 2 weeks ago. I like it very much! Looking great and working like a charm. First, I had the problem to match working navigation software, but I did it whith iGO8 v8.3.4.102680 (Aug 13 2009) and latest Australian maps WhereIS-R17. If any one interested, just let me know and I will upload it. Resolution I'm using is 800x480 landscape. Now I'm working on Garmin MobileXT to work on. If any one can help me, please !!! Op. system is WinCE5.0 (800x480) Cheers

Please not that we have a Section Double DIN merely to advice people never ever to consider buying this Chinese junk in the first place and if they have done so, to persuade them to dump it in the nearest trash bin.

We have never seen a properly working one, they don't want to start up, they fail at crucial moments and generally are not even worth the packaging they come in

That was an extremely good comment from you. But if you had recently fitted an audio system into your car maybe you would like to see where it is made. It could be from China!

There is very good quality coming out of China but only if it has been controlled from the Western world or Japan.
Anything the Chines market themselves is generally trash-can-ready

I have a 2 din from china. CD , DVD , Radio , SD Card , USB , GPS , Digital TV , Aux ( which i use to wath local encode transmitions ) and steering control. Everything works perfectly exept that sometimes the steering control is disabled for some reason. Probably it is because the dvd player is for the basic corolla and my car is a corolla axio x.
I couldnt get the gps to work properly and the supplier and mysel exchanged about 50 emails in about 4 weeks. My supplier said to me " It is my duty to make sure that it works " I can foward these email to anybody who requests them . One more thing , i have no connection with this company and i am in malta. A piece of equipment that would require an exchange of about 50 emails can afaiac safely be considered as a piece of junk!

It should function properly out of the box and not through private intervention of a helpfull Chinese company rep.

All I here is piece of junk. blah blah blah. You have tested many.
If this is just your personal opinion on chinese products, Fine. I think you would be taken a little more seriously if you described problems with functions, such as cd/dvd drives dont load properly. GPS doesnt track position best of times ect..
Saying something is junk without backing it up with data is completely lacking in credibility.

And before you go and get your panties in a knot and want to start flaming, Dont. Its not warranted.

Hi there i bought that china junk! it semed a good investment! but at the end the GPS neve worked! Dos anyone know how do instal the maps on ti! since it didn't came with in!

Did you attach the GPS antenna ?
Also you must copy the maps in the map folder For example :
IGO\content\map\whateveristhenameofcountry.fbl
If it's not "igo" almost every gps program have a map folder to insert all the maps you want.
You have to set the port and baud rate for the gps but it's made with setting under navigation program.
Normally it's very fast to fix satellites with these chinese unit though it may take few minutes the first time.

i also had problems getting the gps to work there is a setup that you have to do for it to work...........look in the gps menu you'll find it
