China GPS CVFY-C41 King Cobra 7 inch need new GPS Software

    Hello,

I want to be able to install updated/new GPS software onto this device. It has Windows CE 5.00 and an ARM 920 CPU. The problem i run into is that there is no way to use activesync to hook it up to a computer in order to install the GPS software normally. The current GPS software (Route66 v7.something) runs on the SD card with minor issues. I'm wondering if anyone knows a complete software that can be loaded and run from the SD card.

I have tried downloading Route66's newest software and they state to install using the cab files but those files are not recognized in windows CE.

Below are the specs from the unit:

    - Touchscreen Interface: YES
    - Operating Environment: WIN CE 5.0
    - GPS Menu Languages: English, Spanish, French, Croatian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Kalba, Hungarian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene, Serbian, Finnish, Swedish, Turkish, Flemish, Greek, Bulgarian, Ukrainian (Actual voice and display language depends on the GPS software being used)

In these systems the software is never installed.
It just runs from the SD card if it runs at all because most of these systems are only suitable for the trash can

So for everytone else out there who is new i did find a solution:
The primo v1.2 worked well with this system. All yo uhave to do is download the program and extract it as is to an SD card. At that point you will want to test it in your GPS unit and go through the setup. If you previously had an SD card copy the createcc file from the root to the new card in order to kep your custom settings. After you have tested the GPS software out then you can copy in the maps and POIs. The zip files contained in the extraction are there for a reason so don't extract or change them. After everything is working you may want to edit the sys.txt file to tweak the software to work as you would like.

I highly recommend paying for support so you can download the needed files easily, and you will get access to a bit more information.

So for those of you out there with a chinese double din car unit, you will want to download programs and nav cores from here and extract them to a card... sometimes they will have errors so download the program before you download the maps!
