newbie and Chinese 2DIN

hey all. just want to say that im glad theres a forum like this and im happy to have become a fully paid up memeber and support you all.


i currently have a 2DIN Chinese car stereo. i must have downloaded 10 diferent IGO8 and IGO PRIMO. now i can get the IGO PRIMO to work perfectly but everytime i load IGO8 onto the SD card i get one of the following problems,

1. the screen is too big and disapeares off to the right
2. the aplication just wont load
3. the unit continuously resets on trying to load


all i want is a fully working IGO8 (not primo), can anyone help me please?.

Although you may be a paid member it does not allow you to double post your questions and certainly not post a reminder to the community to tell us that you more or less expected an answer in hours. We will,try to solve problems and find solutions but you will have to realize it is a voluntary system. You are in no way entitled to an answer. It is not a commercially operated help desk. Another thing is that a solution is already available elsewhere on the forum and even paid members are supposed to use the search function. That is also the reason that lots of other members have a certain reluctance to answer questions that can be solved by just reading!

i had completed a complete thread search and nothing had come to light. everything i had tried was failing. for someone who knows GPS very well this is very baffling to me and thats why i posted a new thread.. i dont in anyway expect an answer however i didnt believe that "bumping" wasnt really allowed?. i dont believe i double posted my questions, i moved the question to a more apropriate thread as i didnt believe the Chinese 2 din had any relevance to the outcome. again, if this was wrong, i apologise...

Sounds like IGO8 has chosen a resolution not compatible to your device. Have you tried deleting everything in the \igo8\save directory and letting IGO8 configure itself during boot up?

Also is there any settings in \igo8\sys.txt, setting a resolution too large for your device?
