PLEASE READ FIRST! Ford satnav short FAQ

Hello everyone!

BEFORE YOU POST A MESSAGE in this thread, please read this short overview.

1.
Q: What's the type of my built-in satnav? Which map can I use in it?
A: Please go to the website: Ford navigation You can find all the satnavs, which were fitted in Ford cars.

2.
Q: Where can I find maps for my satnav system?
A: In Ford cars, only the following systems work with copied CD's or DVD's: Blaupunkt nonDX and DX system (can be found in the Blaupunkt section), Denso system (can be found here).

3.
Q: I have Blaupunkt EX or FX or NX system or the new SD satnav system (new Focus, C-max), how can I get new maps?
A: These systems work only with original CD, DVD or SD card. The only way is to buy an original one, either new (go to your local Ford dealer) or used (go to eBay).

4.
Q: When will be new maps available for Denso or Blaupunkt systems?
A: Immediately after someone buys it and uploads it.

5.
Q: What will happen if I ask a question, which were mentioned here above?
A: Post will be deleted without giving a reason

We have just picked up our new S-Max with Denso sat nav system.

There is no manual and I can not find any copies on line.

Anyone got a copy they could email or useful tricks and tips on working it?

As a new member to the forum I am very confused. I purchased new Ford Falcon G6E in 2011 that was built in Australia in 2010
Whereismaps tell me it comes with a VDO Dayton MS5200
Yet you say production ceased in Dec 2007? So what have Ford sold Me - some old piece of crap?
I have been pursuing Whereismaps for version 18 of Australian maps and they keep putting me off -latest advise "wait till Oct 2012"
Why would they even care if the GPS is that old? Clearly the market would be shrinking on such an old machine
Where to from here - are there alternative suppliers of maps for this machine? Anyone please?

Hopefully this isn't too late a reply.
I visited the Whereis site today and its apparently $199 for V19. Ford are of course saying there is no new update.
I understand there may be alternative locations to get the files to go on the SD card.
I'm looking for alternatives myself as I have just bought a used 2012 fig mk2 G6E.
