Ford Denso
7" Touchscreen Navigation
Western Europe DVD
This DVD was "homemade" based on the Jaguar XJ-S type DVD's for Europe 2009-2010 and slightly modified
This image should be written to DVD9 preferrably with Imgburn
Use Verbatim, Philips or Arita media
This image can be written to a DVD5
For these DVD to function properly SW version 4.40 is required
Burn to CD-R
If you recently downloaded the latest dvd's for JaguarXJ-S type, just delete the file LOADING.KWI from the image with UltraISO or MagicIso.

Hello,
I tried the Western Europe Version with an Vebratime DVD-R, but the car doesn't accept the maps. So I tried to install the new software but nothing happened after inserting the CD.
I turned the ignition out and started the raidio again but, yeah, it was the sam like in the first attempt. :-(
I burned it with toast on an Mac.
Does anybody have an idea? My Ford is from 2007.
Thanks

Use Verbatim DVD+R, burn on lowest possible speed & set booktype to DVD-ROM.
Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow and report again!
edit: It works! Thanks a lot

Hi,
Trying to download this file for Western Europe, but get directed to Linksave.in web address (not Rapidshare site), then doesn't connect. The software update (version 4.40) downloads correctly from Rapidshare.
I would be extremely grateful if you could re-post the correct link.
Thanks.
Peter
I would be even more pleased if you took the trouble of trying to understand how linksave works
It would save me and probably others lots of time not having to comply to pointless upload requests!
You can either download file by file or downlad a container file for one or more of the popular file downloaders
Idownlaod and install jDownloader and blast off!

I load the DVD from rapidshare, but for burning on a DVD, the image is to big. Itīs over 6.7 GB.
What can i do?
Thx for help!
If you only read my first post+ instructions you would not ask a stupid question

its 6,7gb big because as Gazo previously mentioned you need to burn this on a dvd9(a dual layer dvd) these dvd's have a capacity up to 8,5GB. so the 6,7GB wil not be an issue.
you cannot burn these images with a regular burner, this needs to be burn with a dual layer burner.
he has also mentioned that you need to burn it with specific software like imgburn and need to adjust the settings of this software prior to burning the image.
you can find imgburn by google, its free.
these steps are provided by another forum member all credits are on him not me.
follow these steps
Just add your image file (browse the file at the "Source field" in Imgburn). Then choose the Plextor burner at the "destination field" (maybe Plextor itīs the standard option if you only have one burner).
Then do this:
Press "Tools" up in the menu > "Drive" > "Change book type.." > "LITE ON" > change for: "Drive (For DVD+R DL Media) > New Setting: DVD-ROM > press "Change" (Success!" press ok) > Press OK.
Then Burn!
its possible that your burner will not burn this correctly, most burners dont burn valid images for in car navigation.
use one of the burners specified on read the entire post because you may find some usefull info.
