I intend to use the maps on my Nuvi 1440T and from the SD card.

OK, my friend. It helps a lot when you give as much information on your problem as possible, to enable a solution to be given.

Right, well just follow these procedures, like with your other matter:

1) Unzip the gmapsupp.img file and before you do anything, backup the .img (store the backup in a folder on your desktop PC).
2) I would advise you to backup any maps you already have on the SD card in your desktop PC....its good practice to have a backup of the gmapsupp.img, put them in individual folders that are labelled as to what they are. Use a memory card read-writer to manage the maps on your SD card....its just much quicker than syncing the device, for managing files that way takes sooooooooooooooooooooo long.
3) Next, remove your existing map from the SD:/Garmin file and copy the Topo map (gmapsupp.img) image into the folder.
4) Its unlocked, so you should not need to do anything else. If it does not work, then the map is not compatible, but Topo maps should work on Nuvi devices.

Remember to backup your maps and keeping them in a safe folder on your PC...just in case you accidentally delete a map.

I have a SD-card with Topo Premium O slo, but no clue how to "crack" it.
Can someone please help me if I upload it?

Sorry but you have uploaded a Mapsource version created from a IMG file with cgpsmapper.exe, you can see the map in Mapsource but you can not use it in your device, you will have not the possibility to search adresses, just to see the map.
