    is this the 'preview' or retail release? and why does the img file appear smaller than previous .30 by about 200megs (atleast by your file infos) thanks again.

    This is the 2012.40 release, not a preview, 2012.30 Gmapprom is 1.55Gb and the 2012.40 release is 1.58Gb

    thanks again for the reply and most importantly the unlocked file, the reason i was confused is i have been using a file i downloaded from demonoid that was 1.6 gigabytes, not sure why but now i have the latest and greatest straight from a GPS Genius~

    this is a tight fit, ive got the nuvi 1450lm w/1.8 gig space total i got the update from garmin and they put it on my sd card on the download. funny thing after the install i had
    1.4 gigs free on the garmin, so they deleated some files on the garmin and updated others, dont know why they didnt put it on the garmin mabe with the system software it would have been to big?
