Thanks for sharing, but I just cannot download from the hosts the files have been uploaded to. Is there perhaps a Rapidshare link?
Hello all
Thanks for the effort on how to get these maps into mapsource.
This is what I have experienced so far, maybe it could help others if they are having trouble
1. Downloaded the keygen
2 Dowloaded the patched version of Mapsource as well as the original installer ( Replace Mapsource.exe with patched Mapsource exe
3. Extracted the map folder from the opriginal maps downloaded from garmin ( see above posts where to put the folder)
4. No maps were showing in Mapsource although it said it had unlocked the maps
5 Silly me, had to change the view in Map source to VIEW-SWITCH TO PRODUCT
6 Transferring maps now to GPS and will keep you posted to see if it works nicely
Kindest Regards

Ok guys
I have a problem now
Autorouting is greyed out in mapsource, why I am not sure, so now the maps will not work on my GPS hence I have messed it up totally. I am just wondering now if I should try the NON NT version of the maps as I have a streetpilot. Be careful dudes check first that quto routing is on before you transfer the maps. Will keep you guys posted
Kindest Regards
Blidghie
If you are talking about the little check box in the lower left hand corner of mapsource, AutoRouting should be greyed out. Everything is fine and it's just an old artifact of mapsource. It seems counter intuitive, but that's the way it works and has for years. It goes back to some earlier times when you (the user) could control wether autorouting data was included in the IMG sent to the GPS (older units did not support autorouting). Now you have no control, you always get autorouting data in the IMG when the map product supports autorouting.
Just transfer your maps and they will work.

this map is mapsource version
copy unpacked folder to
garmin map directory
WIN7/Vista = C:\ProgrammData\Garmin\Map
or
XP = C:\Dokument and Setting\All Users\ApplicationData\Garmin\Maps
If you can’t se the path, then go to controlpanel/Folderoptions/View/Check show hidden files and folders/Apply & OK.
and start mapsource. mapsource will see the map and now you can transfer the image to your device
i got the upgrade cd and unlocked the maps with jetmouse.
it shows in mapsource as unlocked but when i transfer it to my nuvi 1310 and switch it on it says "cant authenticate maps"
what am i doing wrong?
if i use fast image unlocker to unlock the image and copy the image to sd card it works but i would like to use mapsource and load T4A and streetmaps on my internal memory and put 2012.1 topo maps on sd.
Will someone please be kind enough to upload an unlocked IMG file somewhere?
I just cannot download anything from the free file sharing websites listed in the original post.
