I have downloaded the Mapsource and installed it. It does appear on Mapsource software, however there are no maps in the Unlock Regions tab. When I insert the unlock code generated by Jetmouse it gives an error message "Map Product Not Installed". Any hints? I used map ID 2599.
Perhaps those of you who have more experience with Garmin might shed light on how Garmin device handles multiple maps for same place. For instance, for Brazil there are three different maps: Garmin City Navigator, Tracksource (open source map) and Autoguia (mainly for interstate roads, which is more accurate than Garmin CN).
Tracksource and Garmin City Navigator maps may overlap in several cities. And in some interstate roads all three maps may overlap as well. So, how does Garmin software handle that if the three mapsets are activated in the device?
As far as map display .... Garmins have a pecking order used to display which map (of all the enabled overlapping maps) will be displayed on the top of the stack (and block the others). Generally, City Navigator Maps always win.
Although only the TOP map will be displayed (unless there is some magic transparency), the units I've seen seem to draw all the selected maps so your screen updates take forever.
