Topo France v3 is well displayed either in Basecamp or on my Montana.
I did not put the unlocked .img file directly into internal memory (it might be dangerous if file is corrupted).
I put it on a SD card into a Garmin folder I created. In the same Garmin folder, I put a SQL folder which contains the .db file for new active routing.
Are you sure your .img file is unlocked ? You can check it with gmaptool.
You spoke about seeing .img file in MapSource. But MapSource can’t do that. Only Basecamp can.

I'm noob sorry, i use gmaptool and it's works !

Converting an *.img to mapsource :

1. Run the GMapTool.exe
2. Hit "Add Files" and add the "gmapsupp.img" file
2.5. Under the "options" tab tell it the location of cgpsmapper.exe (free version here : http://www.cgpsmapper.com/download2/cgpsmapperFree.zip)
3. Click on "Split" at the top.
4. Select the directory where you want to save it (in C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps for example)
5. Make sure that "Create" is set to "files for mapsource"
6. Make sure there is a tick in "compile map preview"
7. Mapset name is "France Topo v3 Pro"
8. Tick "set mapset FID"
9. FID is 2554 and PID is 1
10. Click on "split all".
11. Wait until it is done, should take a couple of minutes.
12. Close GmapTool.exe
13. Open the directory from step 4.
14. Locate install.bat and run it.
15. That should be all you need to do to install maps into mapsource.

hello, sorry for the late reply ...
I do not understand why we need something more, usually a file. img unlocked just in order so I:
- Downloaded from this site the seven parts of this card that offers Complete P33DRO,
- Once the file was decompiled one. Img
- So I put on a memory card (that's what I always do since I planted long ago a Nuvi 765 by putting too many peas ...)
- And turning my Montana it nothing happens!
I have missed something if we add an SQL file with a. Db.

second question: how to see if a file with gmaptool. img is unlocked? it's another thing I've ever done ...

and finally all the cards I put on my computer are read with mapsource ... except this one is not working anywhere, I have a little method to decompile files. img and introduce them into mapsource, except that this method does not work with this version V3, when you say that you see in Basecamp is how? Montana by connecting your computer or you decompile the maps to put on your computer?

Sorry for all these questions but I thought I had solved many problems with these Garmin maps at earlier but I realize that there are many things that I do not know ...

bonjour, desole pour la reponse tardive...
je ne comprends pourquoi il faut quelque chose de plus, d'habitude un fichier .img débloqué suffit, dans l'ordre j'ai donc :
- telechargé depuis ce site les 7 parties de cette carte compléte que propose P33DRO,
- une fois décompilé ce fichier etait un .img,
- je l'ai donc placé sur une carte memoire (c'est ce que je fais toujours depuis que j'ai planté il y a longtemps un Nuvi 765 en y mettant trop de pois...)
- et en allumant mon Montana il ne se passe rien !!!
j'ai du rater quelque chose s'il faut rajouter un dossier SQL avec un fichier .Db.

deuxieme question : comment voir avec gmaptool si un fichier .img est dévérouillé ? c'est encore une chose que je n'ai jamais faite...

et enfin toutes les cartes que j'ai mises sur mon ordinateur sont lues avec mapsource...sauf celle çi qui ne fonctionne nulle part, j'ai une petite methode afin de decompiler les fichiers .img et les introduire dans mapsource, sauf que cette methode ne fonctionne pas avec cette version V3, lorsque vous dites que vous la voyez dans Basecamp, c'est de quelle façon ? en connectant votre Montana a votre ordinateur ou vous avez decompile les cartes pour les mettre sur votre ordinateur ?

desole pour toutes ces questions mais je pensais avoir resolu beaucoup de problemes avec ces cartes Garmin auparavent mais je m'aperçois qu'il y a beaucoup de chose que j'ignore...

j'ai enfin reussi a trouver une version en .img debloquee qui contenait bien un dossier SQL je l'ai copiee sur mon Montana et cela fonctionne "enfin", je l'ai également décompilée et installée sur mon ordinateur avec la méthode que j'utilisais d'habitude, cela fonctionne aussi, Basecamp fonctionne également, donc tout va bien, ce n'est pas sans mal que j'y suis arrivé mais super c'est tout bon, j'ai également avec la carte un petit fichier .SFV, je ne sais pas a quoi il sert, si quelqu'un pouvait me le dire...
encore merci et bonne apres midi a tous, ça fait du bien quand cela fonctionne...

SFV files are used for error-checking. I would say your file came from Usenet, as it is used there quite often to verify if files are corrupt. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_file_verification for more.

Hello, I am a novice on the subject,
I ordered an etrex 30 for my father and I have dl the map topo france pro V3 on usenet the name of the file is " TOPOFrance_v3_Pro. IMG " and there is only this file.
With GmapToolSetup062 I can unlock it and I have no other file, with for exemple the sql file.
If I want to put the img file on the etrex 30, I need a micro sd 4go but later I make how?
I wanted to use on mapsource or basecamp that did not work, I am under win7 64.

j'ai commandé un etrex 30 pour mon père et j'ai dl la carte topo france v3 sur usenet le nom du fichier est "TOPOFrance_v3_Pro.IMG" et il n'y a que ce fichier.
avec GmapToolSetup062 je peux le débloquer et je n'ai pas d'autre fichier avec comme le sql.
si je veux le mettre sur l'etrex 30 , il me faut une micro sd 4go mais après je fais comment ?
si je veux utiliser mapsource ou basecamp ça n'a pas marché, je suis sous win7 64.
