Thank you for the guides- they've been useful during my previous map updates. What is confusing me is that I've managed to download 3 sets of JCV and 2 sets of DB files from #1 and now I quite don't know which ones of them to use.

For Nuvi 3790:- D3048070B.JCV or D3373050A LaneAssistPortraitMedium.zip
Save to SQLite, device select right db what is supporting in firmware. You can see in file GarminDevice.xml what files garmin device use

I've now tested with winrar and 7-zip works without problems
