Hi guys! can somebody give me a hand with a problem.
Im new to GPS devices, i just got a gpsmap 60cx last week, so i dont know much about how to upload map to the device.

I have downloaded the topo maps for australia v4, the file is named gmapsupp.img
I have copied it to the sd card, but it does not load on the screen of the gps.

do i have to do something different?

1. Download the Unlocked Version
2. Make a folder on the SD Card Named Garmin
3. Copy the unlocked gmapsupp.img file into this Garmin Folder you just made.

Thanks guys! first time i didn't have the garmin folder. just straight to the sdcard.
Working fine now.

Just a question, what is the difference between locked and unlocked image?

The locked one has the standard Original Garmin copy protection still intact and would require an "Unlock Key" file to be generated OR the copy protection removed using one of a variety of known methods before it would work. The Unlocked one already has this copy protection removed before being uploaded. Other than that There is no difference in the map at all.
