There is no separate versions for Garmin maps.
There are additional features only supported by Garmin units.

XT can only use the normal img files. As your unit is not original Garmin device.
    So don't expect too much.

Re: Singapore Malaysia 2010.40 Malsing Maps

    Hi Airion

Many thanks for the tip! My unit is 3790T from the US. Ive tried your method and the unlock works fine for the maps except for Junction View. My 3790 unit resets everytime a Junction view is about to be called called up.

I had installed the extracted JCV file and put it in the original JCV subfolder of the internal "systern" folder (not SD card). Similar with the "unlocked" maps which i've placed in the Garmin system folder but renamed them gmapprom1.img and gmap3D1.img respectively so as to have same name as the original USmaps. But the unlocked maps Mal/Sin maps are working fine except for the problem with the Junction View. I dont think its a memory issue as the unit still have about 2GB+ internal memory left . I also know that Junction feature of the unit is working as I have used the GP in California.

    Any thoughts

    Thanks
    Saifudin
