    Bluechart G2 Canada - HXCA015R

I am sorry if this post is not presented corrently but I found this map online and have downloaded and verified it is working:

    BlueChart G2 Canada HXCA015R (v11.50)

Provides detailed coastal coverage of the North America East Coast from Nain, NL to Raritan Bay, NY featuring Newfoundland, Île d'Anticosti, New York Harbor, and full U.S. and Canadian coverage of the Great Lakes in their entirety. The North American West Coast is covered from Glacier Bay, AK to Aberdeen, WA featuring British Columbia, Vancouver, the Queen Charlotte Islands, and Puget Sound•Realistic navigation features showing everything from shaded depth contours and coastlines to spot soundings, navaids, port plans, wrecks, obstructions, intertidal zones, restricted areas, IALA symbols and more.
•Smooth display presentation including seamless transitioning between zoom levels and more continuity across chart boundaries.
•Safety shading allows user to enable contour shading for all depth contours shallower than user-defined safe depth.
•Fishing charts to help scope out bottom contours and depth soundings with less visual clutter on the display.
•Choice of standard 2-D direct overhead or 3-D "over the bow" map perspective to make chart reading and orientation easier.
•Compatible with HomePort™ — software that lets you use BlueChart data to conveniently plan and organize routes from your computer before your trip.

You can have all the credit. As I said I found this during an online search and was just happy to have finally found it. I did not see it posted on this forum yet so I thought that maybe others could benefit from it as much as I had. Thanks for the upload. Now if only I could find VUS018R Lake Erie ...

Put the gmapsupp.img file into a directory named x:/Garmin/ and it should work.

Hi All, Ill be another one to say, im very new to this. And with that a question that could have been answered already. So your forgivness is appreciated. I cant get mapsource running, followed tons of tricks and tips, I give up. Is it just as easy as copy and paste to put a downloaded bluechart onto a garmin nuvi drive? or do I need a program like mapsource to transfer?

    Re: Bluechart G2 Canada - HXCA015R

You do not want or need Mapsource. Mapsource is for use with road maps - this is a marine map. You want the program Homeport which you can find on this forum. It is specifically designed for Bluechart maps. You can copy the maps directly onto the memory card you insert into your device using the method described above. Again, Nuvi devices are mostly for use with road maps not marine maps. Most Nuvis will not really show the marine map detail you need. They are designed to be used with Garmin Marine devices.
