You can have all the credit. As I said I found this during an online search and was just happy to have finally found it. I did not see it posted on this forum yet so I thought that maybe others could benefit from it as much as I had. Thanks for the upload. Now if only I could find VUS018R Lake Erie ...
I just got my garmin 60csx and want to add the above map to it.
Do i just put the image file on the SD card and thats it?
Thanks,I'm new to this so any help would be great.
Hi All, Ill be another one to say, im very new to this. And with that a question that could have been answered already. So your forgivness is appreciated. I cant get mapsource running, followed tons of tricks and tips, I give up. Is it just as easy as copy and paste to put a downloaded bluechart onto a garmin nuvi drive? or do I need a program like mapsource to transfer?
You do not want or need Mapsource. Mapsource is for use with road maps - this is a marine map. You want the program Homeport which you can find on this forum. It is specifically designed for Bluechart maps. You can copy the maps directly onto the memory card you insert into your device using the method described above. Again, Nuvi devices are mostly for use with road maps not marine maps. Most Nuvis will not really show the marine map detail you need. They are designed to be used with Garmin Marine devices.
Need some pointers still if anyone can dice theses problems up; Downloaded homeport through a link on thins website but when I go to extract it it says previous homeport not found setup will terminate, ive downloaded garmins training centre which is supposed to make the home port or map source register on the computer. But no dice. any suggestions? AND THANKS!!!!!!
