Is some one knows where does security file located in nuvi 780 ?

There is no such thing as a security file on Nuvi. What problem are you trying to solve ?

If it's a pin lock problem there is no known solutions, send it to garmin.

If it's a locked map problem the tools discussed here will make any map useable in your 780.

I have the same issue with me 255W. I called support, but the person I spoke to had never heard of this. They suggested I reset my device, but that did nothing.

Did you talk to anyone specific? As you know, this is pretty annoying. It screws up daylight savings time, as well as when the device goes into day/night mode.

No one specific, just tech support.. No fix as of yet..

Ppdate timezone (gmaptz.img) and date will work.

I think you mat be right , it may make a good parts machine. I was able to figure out the 6 digit key ( 1 in a million shot) . all works well until it sees the sky . if you power it off after seeing the sky it locks again and the key no longer works until I unplug the battery.. the where2 firmware doesn,t have all the security icons that the normal 780 normally has. This must have a back door that i doubt I will ever figure out. The only way I could use it would be to leave the battery disconnected.

Do you still have gupdate.gcd from this nuvi?
