I have a 8 gig kingston in mine.

I have a 8 gig kingston in mine.
8gb wow - and it reads the whole thing if you have a huge map?
I have new (used) 60CSx. Don't really know how to get new maps there inside. I need Scandinavian freshest maps, and newest fimware.
Please help me to update thouse outdated maps!
Best regards.
The maps go into an SD card..( Under the batteries )...You do NOT load maps into the unit...It will only read 1 gmapsupp.img ( inside a folder named garmin ) but you can combine more than 1 map in that file with Mapsource
There are plenty of maps in the map thread that will work if they are unlocked
Mine is updated to 4.00 which I believe is the latest version and reads the dowloaded maps fine....Download and use Webupdater on Garmin sight to update
Thanks. Just updated to 4.0.
I just don't really know where to find newest maps for example, finland, sweden, norway.
On SD card i have only one IMG file, gmapsupp.img.
I downloaded one topology map, but it have lots of IMG file (672 img file) (from 1 to 4mb, named 00000002.img, 00000003.img and so on...) Thats normal?
And if i backup that gmapsupp.img i can restore it back?

go to this thread and scroll down to Topo maps......Yes you can backup the IMG on your card to your computer for safe keeping and future use
Sounds like the file you downloaded might be for Mapsource.....if so you will have to use MS to combine the area you want to make 1 IMG.....ones above are ready to go
