Re: How to add maps Garmin nvi 310

I will try to help but you may do better looking in some of the threads.
First you need to buy an SD card. This is where your maps will go. They cannot go on the unit itself. Download the maps you want and save them on your PC. They will come down as a .rar file and you will need to extract them to a gmapsupp.img file. Open a folder on your SD card named "Garmin" and transfer your maps to the Garmin folder. You will have to name the first map gmapsupp and all the subsequent maps as gmapsupp1, gmapsupp2, etc. Reboot your GPS unit with the SD card in it, go to tools, map, map info and you should see the maps. It is pretty straight forward. Hope this helps.

    Hey

I have a Garmin Nuvi 310 here and would like the latest maps for the Republic of Ireland if anyone could point me in the right direction?

Also with the new forum has the logins for the downloads area changed?

Here is a link to an unlocked gmapsupp.img of Ireland & UK from CNEUNT 2011.1
Download, unpack, and just copy it to the garmin folder of GPS or SD card.

Post your threads in Garmin tutorials.
    Not in maps.
I will delete both your threads tomorrow.
