i have a Nüvi 250 with 1,45GB internal memory. There is the old city navigator installed and i want to install City navigator 2010. i bought a 2GB Sd card and copied the unlocked gmapsupp.iso into the sd card but it is not working and there is no option to switch to the sd card. Who can help me?

If it's not a type, your problem is the filename "iso". The file must be named gmapsupp.img and placed in the garnin folder of the SD card.

with the latest firmware (5.x) it also runs 8GB w/o any issues. tested on 250 model.

Please explain in detail what you did - so that we can help - just saying that it died does not give us anything to work with .

i have a nuvi 250w and i can't find where there is a POI Folder in it to install the speedcams, can anyone tell me where it is suppose to be

This folder is created auto inside the folder Garmin, the first time you run the program PoiLoader to send custom pois to your nuvi.

A nice tip:
On your pc create a folder Speedcams and put inside all the speedcams files.
Use PoiLoader to send the pois to nuvi.
Inside the Garmin\POI\ you now have a file: POI.gpi
Rename it Speedcams.gpi

Now create other similar folders on your PC (for example Parking, Fuel Stations etc)
and send them to nuvi using PoiLoader.
Rename the poi.gpi file every time.

So by now you have on nuvi
Garmin\POI\Speedcams.gpi
Garmin\POI\Parking.gpi
Garmin\POI\Fuel Stations.gpi
etc.

By this, you don't have to re-send ALL the pois every time that something changes.
You send only the specific category (as POI.gpi), delete the old one and rename the new one!!!

What is the procedure to get Street Navigator North America NT to an sd card?
Where do I download the update?
Do I have to change a mapsource to a different format or name?

Any help would be appreciated.

i have 205w. i just replace the old gmapprom.img in garmin files and everything works. i don't know why some people are having problems.
