Wiki page and Download:
Well I used to have a nuvi 285. Recently picked up a Nuvi 1490LMT and remembered that I was able to use TTSVoiceEditor to make some changes to what the 285 would say. Worked like a charm and did a few others too, not sure of the model numbers though. Anyway the 1490LMT was getting boring, so decided it was time to make some changes, so last night I downloaded the latest version. I had already had files backed up on the computer so I just accessed the one I was using directly on the 1490LMT, needless to say when I went down the list of sayings some where corrupted, so I tried to load it again, same thing, hmmmm lets try another one and same thing with it. Ok so its not going to work on this unit even though the wiki says it works with 1xxx. Needless to say I now have no voices, not one of them work spoken street names or non spoken street names. I have replaced them all with copies from the computer, still no working voices. Anyone have any idea what went wrong and how to fix it?
Well I seemed to have fixed it? For some reason it was sending the sound to my phone because as soon as I disconnected the bluetooth it started to work.
