How do i know the IMG is unlocked? The above given utility works and closes itself. is that all done?

Could anybody give step by step guide to update my Garmin Nuvi 1310? It has already the 2010 genuine map update from garmin. I have downloaded UK & ROI img from torrents and waiting for knowledge base to install this new map.
Please help.

I feel really stupid. I ran the unlocker and the file just went away. It says it worked but I can't find the unlocked file.

Fast IMG Unlocker modifies your original file and does not create another file.

Try the IMG and you will see that it works, or you can view the IMG with the GMaptool and you will see that that none of the sub files indicated a "Locked" status.

I've used this program with great success in the past on my EU maps. I have a registered subscription to numaps lifetime for my Zumo, so just use the unlocker to create a couple of unlocked copies for my other garmin devices and get a new gmapsupp.img file off the update every few weeks.
It doesn't seem to be working on 2012.40 (Feb 2012 release) using ver2.1, 1.9 or 1.5. It just hangs on the first part of the image it finds and never gets any further. It's never worked on an XP laptop or in Vista safe mode and mine is the only Vista laptop that has the grunt to run the unlocker in the house (it's 2007 so quite old now anyway) but it's never had a problem before with the EU images - about 15mins as a rule.

Any words to the wise?

Did not work. I clicked on it and the box comes up asking for a file,did that and nothing. That was on Windows 7,then tried it on xp and the same thing,nothing.

Yesterday I unlocked with this progran in Windows 7 a .img file created with mapsource from City Navigator Europe NT 2013.10 unlocked with JetMouse Garmin Keygen v1.5 with Checksum Fix and run in nuvi 1340 and nuvi 250W.

Thank Thank you uploader the unlocked works like a champ fast and easy even compared to gungim... I have been at this for sometime and finally got it done, on my way to HK. Running windows 7 64bit ultimate.

what will happen is if u click on it, u select your map, when u click ok, another box will come out and it will be like in 7-10 seconds it will unlock it and the last message will be the software will close in like 6 seconds...

then from there your map is already unlock..it will not create another .img, just use back the same .img

I have used the IMG unlocker on Garmin GB Discoverer 150K Full Coverage IMG and it seemed to run through ok. I re-installed the maps on my Garmin Dakota 20 and it still says 'Can't unlock maps'. I have run the file through GMapTool and can't see anything that looks like it is still locked.
