I assume you've got the POIs in Garmin/POI folder as *gpi files that they have been correctly compiled.

By definition, all 'versions' higher than 5.00.60 [including 6.00.10] are unofficial fakes and won't do anything differently to the version on which they were based. The thing is that XT was built to run on S60, it's fine on S^3 too, and the reason you didn't have problems with your N95 was that it ran s60. Now, running XT on Anna or Belle is a bit hit and miss because it's just not made to run on them, but it will always work to a degree as you've found. Some luckly users seem to have no problems at all. If you haven't tried 5.00.60, you can get it here:
It only has one other voice included apart from the Chinese languages and that's English_American_.vpm. You can simply copy/paste any of your current ones to the voice folder from your current voices though. No vehicles either but you can just add them too.
My own experience is that you're probably better off using the later Nokia models' included OVI navigation and don't bother messing with XT if it's causing problems in Anna/Belle.
