I only have one question for which i didn't menage to find an answer here on forum.

What is SID folder for, and can i put it on SD card? I have 1.05GB files in it, and don't know if i need them on my Garmin 2455LM.

what is a .unl file

It is the unlock code for your maps, can open it with Note.

usually in the post people wrote JCV for Nuvi 1XXX - means Nuvi 1000 series, so for yours 1410

When you download a map, usually in the thread are posted JCV files for any device, asking here is pointless, it depends what map you are using, so ask at the map thread if someone can help you.

@IPW : you can as well check what's the number/name of your old JCV file... the new one, should be quite the same

If you are updating maps using a Garmin process such as liferime maps, the additions filea are automatically updated. If you are trying to update yourself you must update them yourself with the proper downloaded files.

You simply replace all the old ones (ASR, SRX, DB) with the new ones with simple file deletes and copies.
