Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
Yes, is enough opening Part 1 and extract the file inside the archive, winrar will extract automatically part 2/3/4/....
No need to open and extract each part.
You need 37XX JCV to ahave it in splitscreen on 3450

Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
Kor@l please help me,
I have a garmin nuvi 50 and i can't view Junction View on it. I have tried Europe 2012.20, 2012.30 and today 2012.40 with all the JCV files that came up with the maps. When i'm near a Junction the junction menu pops up but the screen is white and in the left lower corner i have the back arrow. I have tried the small JCV and the big JCV, i have copied the JCV file in the .system first and then in Garmin/JCV/ but still no Junction View. I have renamed the JCV file of Europe 2012.40 from D3084040A to D3589010A but i still have a white screen. Please help.
THX.

Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
Nuvi 50 is the new model witch cames with Europe NT Unicode maps, you have to update your device with this version and us an NT Unicode JCV for Nuvi 50, not all JCV can be used, in yor case a specific JCV for Nuvi 30/40/50

I think you have to use ASR files for 3790 on your device.

Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
I have nuvi 40 and I have updated the map to 2012.40 and jcv file too. When I do the test routes, I do see the junction view - some are greyed out and some are not and when I click on it, it shows black screen. Is it suppose to show the junction view?

Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
Nuvi40 can be updated with UNICODE version, and use there dedicated JCV files not the one for 7X/1000/37XX, if i have something will pas the right JCV

Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
Hello
Can someone help me out here!!! I just downloaded the Europe NT 12.40 gmapprom.img and gmap3d.img and will download the additional files but Why there's a D2504070A.JCV and a D3084040A.JCV?? which one is needed? I have several JCV files inside my JCV folder and I would like to clean the folder a bit.
The same thing is happening with SID files. Is there any online table or list where you can find out the identification & purpose of each file???
Ex. Europe NT 12.40 file goes with D3084040A.JCV (low resolution) or D2504070A.JCV (high resolution). I don't know this is a fact, I'm just asuming this is the reason for two JCV files since they are different sizes. Thanks
For North America Maps I have many SID files:
D3157040A.SID
D3158020A.SID
D2656060A.SID
D3406030A.SID
D3398030A.SID
Are all of them needed?
Thanks

Re: GARMIN ADDITIONS FILES (ASR, G2S, DB, 3D...) What & How to update.
Hello everyone,
does anybody have experiences with garmin on iPhone?
I have just a comparative question. Anybody who uses the photorealistic jcv file, do you guys have your junction view images only half screen (landscape mode of course, if...)? Is it manageable to have the images full screen?
I try to get rid of this "feature" because it's just too small on the iPhone screen (and the device is far away form me)... I even dug up the app itself, and in a file called TargetConfig.plist I found a thing about this (jcv_half_mode_landscape) and set it's value to 'false', but...
Are the images in the jcv files even presentable in fullscreen mode?...
Thanks, any answer is appreciated.
