Basecamp for Mac Unlocking Tutorial

Leave the maps in the .gmap format, put the two .exe and the .bat file contained in "unlock gmap.rar" into the .gmap folder, run "un.bat", and when it is finished the map is unlocked.
All maps directly usable, install under base camp and they appear magically unlocked.

i assume this have to be done on a windows pc, mac doesn't use .exe files or am i wrong thx in advance

Hi I am new to the gps world so forgive me if I miss something

I am a mac user and want to purchase the edge 800 and request maps etc but I do not quite understand the process

I have an .img file of uk maps but I am unable to view this in basecamp is there a particular process of doing this and can it be done with just Macs

So is there no tutorial to unlock the maps in BaseCamp?
Because with jetmouse you get the unlock code - than manual included but the cards are allready locked
