    Problems with English_American voice

I have a nuvi 855 GPS & I am having problems with the English_American voice as it will only play back a short part of what it should. I know it doesn't read text such as street names etc but it should read "Turn left 0.9 miles" and only reads "9 left" instead. I upgraded to the latest Garmin firmware but had not tried the English_American voice prior so I don't know what is the cause of my problems with playback.
Forgot to add, this is after using pigtones installer. It is the "Wrong Way Juan" character. Their files are the ones not working. If I replace the files that their installer installs with the original English_American.vpm & .sum files the original file works fine.

Well got it to work but was a round about way. I used the pigtones installer, then loaded the file located on my gps into the NonTTSVoiceEditor V1.40 which split it out into wav files then saved it back to the English_American_vpm file using the compress everything option using the NonTTSVoiceEditor. It now works properly.
Did the latest update to the Garmin firmware change how it handles voices?

    Re: Problems with English_American voice

When you updated the firmware were there any voice upgrades available? If there were then look to see if an English_American voice upgrade is there and do the update. Was all I could think of. Hope it helps.
