I have recently upgraded to a Mio Spirit 575 which I have successfully unlocked and am running Igo 8. It runs fine when no skin is selected, however I get a 'fatal' error whenever I try to use a skin. The error is 'FFUIERROR </layer> expected' on initial startup, and the program terminates.
This appears to be caused by an error in data.zip, as it happens with every skin, and if I manually change the resolution to 480x234 then Igo 8 starts up and runs fine, but with a black border at the bottom of the screen.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, or have a data.zip which definately works with skins at this resolution?
I have tried looking through some of the main .ui files but I can't spot where the missing </layer> is
Yep. It is detecting and using 480x272 correctly but always exits with the error when using this resolution. If I manually set the resolution to something else (e.g. 480x234 or even 320x240) then I don't get the error, but igo8 obviously only utilises part of the screen.
I presume there is an error in one of the scripts in data.zip/ui_igo8/480_272 but I can't spot it...
Thanks for the suggestions, but I have already tried with several skins (dimika, kikker, plus2 - including fresh downloads) and even fresh download/install of igo8 - I get the same problem every time, but only for 480x272 resolution. This is what is making me think there is a problem somewhere in the 480x272 .ui files in data.zip.
I use Kikker 3.2 for my 480_272 and it works just fine. There shouldn't be any res problems. Perhaps you should think about doing a new download of another iGO8 version program. Maybe the problem lies with the version on your device.
