I bought a GNS TrafficBox FM9 USB some time ago, and I`ve been using it with IGO 8 perfectly. But now I've updated my device to IGO Primo 2.0, and I configured it to work with the same configuration as it worked with IGO 8 (port COM 6, source GNS), and it seems to work because it appears the TMC window with the FM dial trying all the stations and the word "Searching". But it never stops in any FM frecuency, allways is "searching" (and because of IGO 8 I've checked that there are some stations in this place with TMC).
I've tried many different versions of Primo 2.0 and gpstmc.dll, and allways is the same, it remains "searching" in all the FM dial.
I don't know if I need some special .dll for the root directory of IGO Primo 2.0 in order to have it decoding the TMC sources (that seems to be the fail, that it doesn't decode the TMC messages) or if the FM9 USB TMC is not compatible with IGO Primo 2.0. So, please, any help will be very appreciated.
I have all the licenses I've found for TMC services in all european countries.
But I haven't found a license for Spain (where I live). Here in Spain the TMC service is free. And with IGO 8 it worked fine, with IGO Primo and a royaltek receptor it works perfectly, but with the external USB GNS receptor and IGO Primo it doesn't work, it makes as I told in the previous post.
I have bought a 7" (800 x 480) Chinese Satnav with a WinCE 6.0 OS and iGO My Way 220.127.116.11975; it works well but when I try to install third party software like text editor, etc. through MS Activesync or by copying a cab file or *.exe file to the Satnav's flash memory, it won't install the software. The message is:
"The CPU type of your CE device is not supported by this software" when using Activesync or
" 'eznote_ppc' is not a valid Windows CE application" when copying the file to the flash memory. I have tried several different applications and the results are the same.
I also find that when I create shortcuts on the desktop they disappear if I turn the device off and on.
It has a ARM processor and 4GB flash memory and a 8GB Micro SD card.
Can anyone help?
PS: Sorry if this should be a new thread, I don't have a Post New Thread button.
Unless P2 finds a licence or file in the TMC folder for the country it wont work. iGO8 is ok.
P2 will work afaik IF you have the internet option which I doubt on a cracked version.
Thanks for your answer.
But it seems not to be the sollution. I've tried this same version of IGO Primo 2.0 (really, I've tried the same SD Card) in other navigation system with built-in royaltek TMC, and only modifying the parameters in the SYS.txt to set the different GPS port and TMC port... it works perfectly.
So, if the same version and SD Card is able to read the TMC information, I suposse that any additional license is not needed (here in Spain, there is a free TMC service). I don't know if there is any difference between the licenses needed for royaltek or GNS TMC. But the only difference between the two units tested is the TMC receptor.
In the one that it works, is royaltek built-in. But with GNS usb connected, it doesn't work, just appears the symbol of "TMC present" when it reaches the frecuency of free TMC, but no traffic message is readed and, few seconds later, it continues searching the rest of frecuencies... once and once again.
So, I'm totally lost about what else try to make it work.
