iGO amigo makes navigation easier and more entertaining than ever before. Its brand-new, ergonomically optimized user interface is not only trendy, but also very user-friendly; this means the software can be easily learned even by people who have never tried GPS navigation before.
iGO amigo focuses on everyday needs, without loading users down with complicated settings. Numerous smart functions take the driver’s individual needs into consideration, and make using the software fast and effective.
iGO amigo is quick to use, and easy to learn. The software only contains essential navigation functions; and the individual steps ensure a streamlined, intuitive workflow, making it almost impossible to get lost among the settings. The program contains an integrated tutorial, which explains the use of all the important features on a few slides.
Fresh new user interface
Vivid colors and animated screen transitions give the software a trendy appearance, while finding your way around the program is made easier by large buttons, clear texts and eye-catching icons. All the necessary buttons are clearly visible on the screen.
iGO amigo contains several smart functions, which make it even simpler and faster to use the software. The smart keyboard speeds up entering city and street names, while another new development is that the software ‘learns’ the user’s behavior and habits: It offers a ranked list with the most likely destinations based on the current GPS position and previous routes.
Further sophisticated route calculation
iGO amigo calculates not only fast, short, and economical route variants, but also easy-to-follow routes, which include fewer and simpler maneuvers, using main roads where possible. Before setting off, use the route overview function to choose the type of route you want to follow. iGO amigo gives the driver lane information, so that there is plenty of time to get in the right lane for the next maneuver. Signposts on the screen also provide helpful navigation guidance on the way, allowing you to concentrate on the driving.
iGO amigo’s ‘Where am I?’ function helps users in emergency situations: This function specifies the current GPS position, and helps in locating nearby assistance, such as a police station, ambulance, break-down service, etc.
iGO amigo provides users with a large amount of travel content. The travel kit consists of a converter for weights, measures and clothes sizes, a list of international dialing codes, and a calculator. In addition, users can complete their software with 3D city maps or a pre-installed speed-camera database.
Multimedia and entertainment
In addition to navigation, iGO amigo’s integrated applications guarantee light entertainment too. Apart from the picture viewer, users can try out several award-winning games, the full versions of which can later be purchased and activated.
Online software and map updates
iGO amigo’s software and maps are continuously improved and refined. The selected updates and extra contents, such as 3D landmarks, POIs, or voice guidance profiles, can be easily downloaded from the naviextras.com.
TMC – Traffic Message Channel
iGO amigo automatically processes TMC data (real-time information about accidents, roadworks and other possible delays) and recalculates your route if necessary; navigation continues on a new route, avoiding traffic jams.**
* Pre-installed and individually activated or ready to buy services on the naviextras.com.
** At present, TMC services are not globally available. To receive TMC-data, you will need an RDS-TMC receiver or a TMC compatible GPS device. Some TMC services charge a subscription fee.
