How to make 1024x600 into 1024x552

Hi I've been trying to get 1024x600 to work on my galaxy 2.7.0 but with no joy, I recently installed xbmc and when I looked at the video settings it shows a size of 1024x552.

How difficult would it be for me to modify a 1024x600 apk? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
