Failed to oped: poi_brands.spr - exiting application

I have a new Sat Nav with IGO8 when trying to open my poi's I get the message

    Failed to open:
    poi_brands.spr
    Exiting application

    The system then shutsdown
There are poi files in a folder called poi in the contents folder.

Anybody know how to resolve this?

Thanks I will try it with one from my old Myguide sat nav. The new one is a 7 in screen from ebay at £64 including igo8.3.4 (not sure this is legit however)

Sorted got a replacement file and all is ok with the world. Kate now knows where to send me.

Also later found a folder on the supplied SD card called "Data.zip" that happened to be the same size as the folder I used to replace "Branding.zip". I renamed "Data.zip to "Branding.zip". Hey presto that worked too.

Re: Failed to oped: poi_brands.spr - exiting application

I have the same problem as above. Everything works fine when its running in a lower resolution. However when i run it in 800x480 i get the message. Ive tried replacing the brand.zip with no joy.
    Anyone got any ideas???

    Thanks

Your branding.zip file isn't supporting that resolution. You need to get igo8 in 800x480 resolution. (don't ask me where, I'm running lower res)

Thanks for the reply. However i do have the 800x480 resolution in the branding.zip. The icons are in a common folder within branding.zip
I cant get my head around this one.

Looks like you may have to get another branding.zip then (from a completely different source). Also check to see if your poi_brands.spr file in branding.zip isn't corrupt. You should be able to open it within WINRAR, I think it's about 4 lines and sets the opacity of the icons on the screen.

Look at other *.spr files in the folder for a general format (if you have them). If you don't, get a branding.zip folder from another site that has branded icons.
