    Re: Help for absolute beginners

I can't create a new thread so I assumed I can just reply to my relevant topic. For now I'm just collecting igo maps since I ran across a webpage that states navteq covers 98% of central america and I've seens posts where navteq maps are used with igo software.

Q.1. MY ASSUMPTION IS the desktop igo application maps are compatible with another (myway, primo etc), this post hints to the idea that you just have to find content folders and copy them over to the right spot please correct me if I'm wrong and specify how you can interchange igo desktop & primo maps with myway.

Make sure you have the correct resolution entry in the sys.txt for your device. This is quite common and leads to many error messages.

    Re: Help for absolute beginners

    Please can you help me?
I have a GPS of Fujicom with Nav 'n Go - iGo Software, and I need the USA/CANADA Maps.
So I downloaded it from here and added them to the map, poi and dem folders.
While loading the software it told me that my license isn't good enough or something .
(I think my GPS is running WinCE and it is from 2008 I think, so it have iGo 8.3.1 or something...)
Just for you to know I didn't unlock the OS or cracked the software or something, it is as I recieved it, with the Original software and files.
    How can I fix that?

    Re: Help for absolute beginners

I recently had a working version of iGO Primo which i acquired. I took it out to add some poi's but now when i put it back in and select path and then press the navi button it returns me back to path selection! Problem is i cant find my original acquisition and have got multiple down now, but still does that same after 5 other versions. Any ideas? Eonon G2227

    Hey guys,

I have an unlocked MIO C520 and am trying to run iGO 8.3.5, but the starting location is Texas while I am in Canada! I am not sure that the GPS is connected. What do I do?

When you get a satellite lock the maps will show your real location - as long as you have the map in content\map. You also may have to delete your save folder and re-do the options.

Go to settings and try gps auto detection. If unsuccessful, try to do a reset, in principle your gps back.

Otherwise try to Kill "SmartST_CE.exe" and "CLMapp.exe" in "Autorun.mscr" :
    Run("\My Flash Disk\Program Files\Navman\SmartST_CE\SmartST_CE.exe") WaitFor("SmartST_CE", 2) Kill("SmartST_CE.exe") Kill("CLMapp.exe")
You have to lock device then unlock it.
