I'm absolutely new to iGO nav systems. We bought VolksWagen with installed iGO8 nav system.
Maps are old and I wanted to update them. I downloaded North American maps iGO8 R3 Navteq 2012.Q4 and now wondering how I can install them.
Anyone, please help a beginner!
Ok, it's at least something already.
I downloaded maps from this forum - http://gpsunderground.com/forum/igo-...nada-full.html
How would I know if this is cracked or not cracked one ?
It's technically not exactly "from here". The link to android-zone was posted at this forum but the content was elsewhere also. Should I treat this content as ready for installation.
Any idea about the logo ? I assume it should stay.
And another question. What are *.dem files ? Should I just disregard them ? They are in "Dem" directory.

It is very important to know the resolution of your gps screen, maybe 800x480 ?? so you need igo8 for Windows CE 5 or 6 I think, not android, and with "data" and "branding" for the same resolution. This is very important, more than the dem files you want to know now. When you got igo8 working, then you can put dem files, ok?

Overview: .dem files gives to iGO the ability to show an overhead view of the map (with terrain colouring/shading) where you can pin-point your precise destination. In 3D mode the view changes into a spectacular real point of view. In 2D mode it shows colorful areas depending on terrain height. Look at the screenshots.
