Would someone write a Tut about the files usage of:
Purpose of these files, what is the software release supporting these files, Folder name to put these files...........
Many thanks in advance
.FPA : File proximity alerts
.ftr - truck information
Pre-processed road network (.hnr)
FDA: File Driver Alerts
Yes, but Purpose of these files ? I know that hnr files shorten time for softtware to calculate a route ! What about the other files ?
FDA= used in conjunction with Navteq maps (must be of the same release date) gives warnings like Railroad Crossing, Pedestrian Crossing, Slippery Road, etc--flashing the corresponding icon on the map screen--assuming such warnings are enabled.
FTR = Bridge Heights and other information that is useful to a trucker.
All such files go into the same folder(s) as the maps they are intended to be used with.
very good !
Thanks for these explanations, but what is the minimum IGO8 release level, supporting each feature (FTR, FPA, HNR, ....).
Like Yurbuh Tuggly said a couple posts above, all such files go in the contents/map folder which matches the NavTeq maps. Which might be /map or /map_nt, whatever you are using.
Thanks - very useful ...
