    Phoneme or not phoneme ?

    Hi guys,
    All is in the title.

I use a Alpine PMD-B200P V2, and add to it the TTS function, and all is working very nice.
To do it I add the following :
    - "LoqTTS6_Util.Dll" & "LoqTTS6.dll" version 6.6.19.0 (those one for Win CE.NET 4.2)
    - all the others file seam to common for all igo versions.

But I read that it's ppossible to add phonemes. I working with Navteq map. I read that it exist different kinds of files, "****.ph" and "****.phr".

Do any body know weach one I have to use, and if there is any config to enter to enable it?

i have these files on my igo, it seems to help with the pronunciation but not that much..the 'ph' file is the united kingdom and the two 'phr' files are for 'london' and birmingham'

I download a archive with a lot of *.ph files. (you can find a link in the IGO8 map section).
I read that it exist the *.phr file, that look like "FRA_Paris_teleatlas.phr"

    - In some forums I read that those files are for the buildings in Paris or other city, but for the buildings Navteq use the folder "\content\buiding\*.3dl".
    - So I suppose that the *.phr files are not to be used in IGO8 systeme...?

i think the 'ph' files are for pronunciation and the 'phr' files are for local accents....

Yes way not, it makes sence... I can't imagine my GPS using the south of France accent .... LoL
    But could anybody confirme that?

I don't have the FRA_*****.phr, I have to download it and extend my tests....

BY the way, I have another question,
As the maps have licences, may be the phonemes have too?

So it should be yes.... On the Alpine, that is originaly without TTS, on the licenses section there is nothing about Phonemes. But on the Wince IGO emulator, there is a license for it.
