Hello to one and all from "Down under" in Australia,
Firstly I trust I won't offend anyone by asking my question here, but i'm only new and I can't start a tread yet.
I recently bought a Philips CED1900BT/98 double din touch screen car stereo with GPS.
I believe the GPS is running iGO8 (8.3.5.158654) and using NAVTEC maps (AUST 2012 Q2).
My drama is that because its a car unit it appears that I have to reset my preferred voice each time I start the GPS function.
The GPS comes with male and female voices in Australian, UK and USA. By default the GPS loads an Australian(male) voice which I find rather irrating.
I would like to make the UK(female) voice as my default. Even better would be to find and load Irish female as the preferred voice - but thats for later on.

How do I go about making the female(UK) voice as the default voice?

I understand your suggestion and indeed I do this everytime I use the GPS because regardless of the voice I choose
everytime the GPS restarts it defaults to the "Australian male voice".

OK, delete the save folder and re-start the device. You'll have to do the options over again.

Once again duffer....Thank you for your swift reply.
I took your suggestion on board and also went one step further _- I removed all the voice files except the UK Female and all seems OK so far.
I will test the alterations tommorrow morning when I fire up the GPS on the way to work.
Fingers crossed it's all good.
