Kenwood DNX-XXXX how to add/delete voices and/or vehicles without remowing unit !

Any work arounds? The unit does have a USB port on it but it's for USB sticks only.

I have a Kenwood Excelon DNX 6990 HD. It does not have a mini-USB port on the back of the unit; just the big integrated USB cable protruding from the unit. I have the same problem some people report where the SD card shows up in the file manager, but when I click on it, it appears empty, even if it isn't. I have tried formatting the card to various format types. I have tried using cards both greater than and less than 4GB in size. I spent hours on the phone with Kenwood and Garmin and they basically told me I'm on my own and voices/vehicles are not a supported feature for these stereos with integrated GPS. There has to be a way to get voices/vehicles on this unit! Any help would be appreciated!!

It looks like the only way to do this, if it's possible, is to remove the mini SD card from inside the unit itself and connect it to a PC to see what's on the card.

Hi,
I'm trying to access the hidden menu on a Kenwood DNX7200 with software version 3.00 but it doesn't seem to work ! Nothing happens when I press the touchscreen no matter where, also my speedometer page doens't look like in the screenshots above.

I am doing something wrong ? Is this hidden menu blocked on SW 3.00 ?

your model does not support this way to adding voices and vehicles,but you must pull out unit and read this post Kenwood DNX 7220 #6

I have kenwood 7260 (DNX7260BT)
I have an idea, if I go into the internal memory (FILE MANAGER) and look at the current running map name and copy new map updated (2013.10) on Internal memory (memory card through) with FILE MANAGE
It's work??
O With this procedure can only copy the vehicles and the voice?

Only vehicles and voices.... For changing maps (xxxxxxx.img) you need pull out unit and connect USB cable on rear side of unit with PC or notebook,and doing with Garmin instaled in Kenwood like any other portable garmin device!
