Comand APS NTG1 Firmware Update?

Hello,
I try to update my firmware, because I want to enable mp3, but I recieve message: Update Error, Wrong Variant. I search in google and found that I need version 15/04. Can someone help me with this versions? From where can be downloaded? Thank you.

Hey guys, I wanted to update the firmware of Comand but the player in the front unit is broken it doesnt accept or eject dvd's/cd's.
Now is my question if I can use a newer map without upgrading COMAND? (im now using a 2004 dvd navigation)

Yes, you can install the newer map version without installing new firmware of Comand.

what is the whole point of updating the firmware then ? is it because if you dont update COMAND certain new map feautures wont work properly?

Some people says that the sound becomes clearer in aux mode and mp3 mode are activated automatic, not in engineering mode.
