Older Mio Device Unlocks

Hope all of you are enjoying Christmas Holidays.
I have a question with respect to the "Skinless Method for older Mio Devices wanting to just run igo8" on page 1 of this thread which I tried to install on my C320: for some reason the MioMap button on the initial screen can not be activated and with that obviously the miomap.exe file is not run.
Could this has anything to do with the original miomap.exe.id file which apparently is not changed?
Your suggestions and support in this matter is highly appreciated!

ra.jansen Read very carefully what he wrote xtyler>> 1. Find the MioMap.exe located on the internal flash drive of your device.

This should be located in a directory such as this:

miomap/miomap/miomap.exe

If your device is different then you will need to adjust the path in the MioMap.mscr file

to match your path. When editing this file make sure to save it as "all files" . You can

edit it with notepad.



2. Rename your original MioMap.exe to MioMap1.exe


3. Copy the MioMap.mscr file, MioMap.exe (MortRunner file), and Mortscript.exe where your

original MioMap.exe (now renamed MioMap1.exe) is located.


Now when you hit the MioMap button on your device (if your device does not automatically

launch Miomap) it will first look to see if igo8 is on the SD card. If so it will launch igo8.

For devices that load right into MioMap, it will look first for igo8 and launch it if

it is on the SD card. If not or if the card is not inserted, then it will launch MioMap

from the internal drive.


You can edit this script as needed to meet your device's specific paths. It is a really

simple script and should save most people all their memory for igo8...
