I plan on using this thread to put up some unlocks I will be making for older Mio devices, as well as some for other devices. I plan on starting next weekend with a c220 unlock and an unlock for the h610. I will then (hopefully) add some more in the coming weeks after that. Please do not pollute this thread. Skinless Method for older Mio Devices wanting to just run igo8


This is a simple script that takes the place of the MioMap.exe on your device that will first look to the SD card for igo8 and launch it. If igo8 is not there or a card is not inserted then it will launch MioMap instead.

Please read the included directions. Any questions please ask. You will have to edit the script if you are using Primo and not igo8 or if your igo8 is located in a different path than:

Storage Card/igo8/igo8.exe

You can just edit the path in the script as needed. Just use notepad in Windows to open the MioMap.mscr file and when finished editing save the file as "all files"

Enjoy!! I made this quick little script for people who needed to keep the majority of their memory for the navigation software.

I see someone keeps reporting my links!! This is why I quit back in the day. Why do some people have to be jealous assholes. Funny thing is all of it was written by me so it violates no copyrights or anything of the such. Anyone have any ideas of an upload sight where dumbasses cannot report the content as being in any kind of violation?

I have a Mio C310 that was unlocked (on the internal memory) and had igo8 on the SD card. My daughter borrowed it and lost the SD card stating "It just quit working". The device is still unlocked and I got a new SD Card, installed igo8 on it, but when I hit the igo8 icon it has a message "cannot find Igo8(or one of its components.)" blah-blah. Im pretty sure its just a matter of moving some files around, but forget which ones and where. Any help?

make sure the folder on your SD card is called igo8 and that the .exe that launches igo8 is called igo8.exe. Other than that all I can think of is that you do not have the full copy of igo8 or an incompatible data and/or branding.zip. Chances are though that your setup on your Sd card isn't correct. The path for the launcher in the unlock if specific, so your path on your SD card must be exact.

That was it! The exe file was called igo.exe not igo8.exe. Once changed, it booted right up. got it from here
