What exactly is happening when you put device to sleep and turn it back on?
dalanik:
I have a good feeling about the Unlock/Shell, I have it installed on the flash disk now and it is running fine, except for the USB connection and resume from sleep.
I tried running it from a fast SDHC Card, because of little free space on flash disk, but I got stuck after the GPS init, the visualshell.exe win not start.
The resume from sleep I solved by adding a Sleep(7000) after
If(ProcExists("VisualShell.exe"))
Exit
EndIf
in the auto.mscr.
But the USB connection works ownly after a SoftReset, the USB button does not work on my Mio moov 500.
Any suggestion?

I removed the 7 seconds delay, but I can not reproduce the error messages right now.
If I see them again I post them here.
And want about the USB connection button that does not work?
Can you let me anything about it?
Rick
Rick:
Sorry, I have no idea - this works on most moovs but all mio's are different. I can't do anything about it unless you find out what is needed since I don't have your device.

I read the instructions again and tried clicking USB first and then connecting the cable.
That resulted in the following error:
Fatal Application error
Application MortScript.exe has
performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down. if the
program persists, contact the
program vendor.
Program: MortScript.exe
Exception: 0xC000005
Address: 0005827C
With on the background the screen "Wait..." "Terminating original apps..." and
then no responce after clicking "ok" on the fatal error.
I wil try to debug the script connect_usb to see where the error comes from.
I figured out why I put in the sleep(7000) in the auto.mscr.
On a Boot with USB cable connected I got the following error:
An empty BigMessage box
and on top Message with:
Error
Couldn't write file \My Flash Disk\Visual\Script\launch.ini
Line 110 (\Storage card\Visual.ins\Unlock.mscr):
WriteFile(ScriptFolder\"launch.ini", ScriptFolder\init.mscr")
after this no responce from the Mio but USB connection is active!
When I put in the sleep(7000) then there is no error and on remove of USB Cable the Mio reboots automatically.
If I interput this right my SDHC card is online and running the scripts before the flash disk is online!
Sound strange he?
One other tink: The Mio moov 500 does not seem to have an internal clock!
Miomap 2008 does a time sync with GPS but TomTom nor Unlock/Shell does this.
Something for the next version? Or is it something simple I can add?

Are you using SD-card method? Try putting everything to the flash disk. This is the only stable setup. The SD card route is just if you want to try it out but it is best to have everything on Flash disk.
All mio gpses are missing internal clock. this is simply fact. it gets time only when it gets fix. but it should remember it if you don't RESET it - and there is no need to reset, i.e. my moov in standby mode can run for several weeks before the battery empties. So there is no solution. It simply must get fix in order to get time.
I dont think so,when you say something be sure 100%

Well if it looses clock after reset it is more than obvious it doesn't have internal clock. But I don't want to get into debate with you, .............
what os and stuff were those games made for? bcause those are the games my gps can run, but all the other versions of the games i cant run...
