    Garmin Mobile XT Ver 500.50 for Symbian

    Guys, Heres Garmin XT for the Symbian Platform Ver 500.50. This is only Garmin XT.. U need the support files. I will upload them shortly..

    I have the GMXT 5.00.40 version on my phone for a year and a half. If I'll install the 5.00.50 version (for Symbian S60 3rd edition) from the Garmin web site, it will work, or do I need a another installation for GMXT like a new one? Will it affect the unit ID?

    You will have to go through same steps to update 5.00.4 to 5.00.5 as you would go to install the brand new. Once you load the .sis file onto your mobile device it will ask you that the old version is present on the phone and if you want to install the new version. Of course "YES" and you go from there. In order to get it working you will need a SW.UNL file installed too...Your unit ID will not change. If you already have such file installed then I presume it should be working fine then

    Yes, bosko buha, the version 5.00.50 works fine ans I needed to install the new version like I had no GMXT on my phone. It only asked if I want to replace the old version and the I followed the steps of GMXT installation, including the sw.unl file. The maps I have on my GMXT works fine after the installation, if anybody wants to now this because the unit ID remains the same.

    hey all.. i'm new here. how do i use garmin mobile xt for my nokia e72? i installed it but it mentioned connection allowed only for bluetooth gps.

    what should i do? thanks
